Year One / Spring Term - Electives at SAA
A compilation of my Elective projects from SAA!
At SAA we got to pick three electives.
The three I chose were Limited Edition Packaging, Video PreProduction, and Video & Motion.
This first project is my Limited Edition Packaging project. I chose to do my favourite video game, Don't Starve.
Don't Starve is completely download based, meaning that I had to figure out how to make a disc that didn't exist. In the end I went with special Downloadable gift-cards. I designed the box and put it together myself. I decided to make limited edition character buttons as well as a (not photographed) keychain of Chester's Eyebone. The download cards are for the soundtrack, the base game, the 'Reign of Giants' expansion, and the 'Don't Starve Together' game.
In Video PreProduction, we learned all about cuts & motions in film along with making scripts.
Below is a script I made for a commercial of a fictional product, and under that are three of the story boards I did for the commercial.
In Video & Motion, we took the logo we made at the beginning of the year and learned how to animate it in Adobe After Effects!
I don't have the animated file anymore, but I do have the story board I made with the logo. :)
